It's A New Day

I’m up with the rooster’s crow. I had been awoken by it, my alarm did the original awakening. But I wonder, what’s up with the late night crowing, and the drunkenness that seems to be present. Is my rooster a Cockspur reject and this is why he now gets the times so wrong and speak with such a slur in his Cock-a-doodle-doo?

It’s a New Day!

I heard the Rooster crowed at 11:30

There must have been something causing it to crow this early

Sleep came and it was a restful night

And the Cock-a-doodle-doo came again at daylight

Now he must have worked for over pay

Employed to crow at night and the crack of day

Work must be hard but he would proudly

Do his part to ensure I get up early

And he never fails to wake me up and say

You got to get up and enjoy it, It’s A New Day!
