Another One Bites The Dust

Too many people refuse to be honest with their love ones. Too many people have fantasies they never share. The trouble with honesty and fantasies is that if your heart is not pure then these too can be very twisted. Take for instance the serial killer who fantasizes the last breath a person takes. People like this can live what appears to be a very normal life and we know they have to avoid honesty and speaking about their fantasies.

Another One Bites The Dust

A slam of the door in my face, I knew love was gone

No more comforts, my clothes were thrown  on the lawn

Out with no hopes of being taken back

This was my last chance to stay on track

How many chances I had before

Every chance I had my love gave more

Repeatedly patient still I would stray

One mistake after the other until love went away

No more cover-ups no more lies

Excuses for the wrongs infidelity denies

Behind me now, it’s all gone, no more for me

I had a wake up call you see

Theatre going was my love’s passion and I left it out

Evenings I refused to go and love would never shout

So when I made that last choice to say no

Tension filled the air, it was the final blow

Hundreds of opportunities gone and I

Evaded each one, didn’t care to try

Dreamed of great pleasures I would have come to know

Until the dreams stopped when I didn’t go

So as I look back I realize now that if I had gone

To the show with my love my clothes would be there on the lawn
