After A Hard Days Work

For all those who go home expecting a far better reception than they got. Those that sometimes say their dog in the front yard seems more delighted to see them than the dog in the front house.

When you think of it, many of the arguments are unnecessary. Delight in each other and set aside the frivolous arguments

After A Hard Days Work

Alas it’s night

Finally to get home to my delight

The day was too long for me

Evening passed equally slowly

Regrettably when I got there

And realized my babe’s thoughts were elsewhere

Honey, I said, not tonight

And somehow it started a senseless fight

Reactions flared although never to shout

Didn’t think it was something we couldn’t work out

Darling, I came home after a hard days work

And never expected you to behave like a jerk

You said we could cuddle and melt away the stress

Share thoughts of each other and never thoughts of the rest

When you started I should’ve stopped you from getting too far

Only I didn’t, I hope this doesn’t leave an emotional scar

Remember I came home to you and you waited for me

Kiss me dear, love me and let’s set aside this bad memory
