The Teachers Professional Day

We all had them and some of us valued them differently. Who ever you are you would have needed some time in your life to be taught, you would have needed a teacher, whether formal or otherwise. I sometimes wish that I had paid more attention to those that made no sense at the time. Years down the line their words seem wise. My sister met a guy that she had encouraged years ago to make a change in his life and today, many years afterwards, he thanks her for the lesson.

The Teachers Professional Day

Today they are grown

Have families of their own

Earned a decent life

They strayed from bullying with stick and knife

Education was their eventual choice

And I am glad they found their own voice

Creative in their own ways

Have beautiful things they do nowadays

Educating others too

Right from wrong, the things to do

So now when I look around

Purposed for the origin, I’ve found

Roosters have much in common with me

One life long ago I started students you see

For years I woke them up in class

Even crowed my disciplines repeatedly until it last

Students need a proper start each day

Schuster the rooster got the right idea

I’ve heard the nuisance of the musical car horn

Or annoying ring tones on phones in the morn

No sound can be better that from nature’s clock

A start in the morning by the Cockle Doodle cock

Life separates people into one of its categories

Don’t like waves crushing or the birds and the bees?

And didn’t like your teachers either but where are you now

Your mornings are miserable and you never do the things you vow
