Suffice it to say it’s been far too long

On old memories I’ve relied and have sung the same old song

Water collected in my eyes and fell over my cheeks

How alone I felt when the years turned from weeks

Every night used to be fun a long time ago

Reminiscing has now become the only choice I know

Embracing delusions that walk through my mind

Any thoughts of you I’ll grabbed ‘cause that’s all left behind

Rivers from fallen tears now wash my thoughts away

Erode the lovely memories we chose to lay

You sometimes called for us to go

Over to your friend home or some other place so 

Urgently you called and urgently I would leave

To get you there was never a burden to achieve

Only now I can’t run hilltops or across the street 

Driving is out and now always my travels are discreet
