I Used To Take It All Forgranted

A beautiful morning has followed a beautiful night. I am so happy to hear5 all the sounds around me that seemingly disturbs others. There is a pureness in the air, unpolluted by the morning traffic which is bound to come. The animals sing their regular praises and the sun warms the earth. I get up and was off to the beach where God’s beauty seemed even more profound

I Used To Take It All For Granted

It’s a new awakening to a new day

Ushered in by the sounds of the animals as I kneel to pray

Some roosters crowing from the house next door

Eager to awake us all so they crow and crow even more

Darkness slowly walks away

The sunlight creeps out to announce the day

On top of the roof a dove coos its hello

Then the Black birds flock noisily and wouldn’t go

A cow in the distance says moo

Kept it up and I never knew

Every moo too was another way to say

It’s a good morning and all is okay

Today I’ll breathe in God’s fresh air

And I’ll gave Him thanks for the beauty we share

Love of each other and the things around

Like these birds and barn animals, like the dew on the ground

For the day I’ll give Him thanks that I can see

Our togetherness and love of community

Radio hosts who starts us right

Getting us off to work in this new day’s light

Refrains of old music, Sky watch and their Cock-a-doodle doo Morning Show

And all this I once took for granted but I now know

Now I see each day as a blessing with newness and cares

The song says I’m walking on Sunshine and it melts your fears

Excitement all around to let us know it’s okay

Doesn’t it feel good to walk on Sunshine today!
