I Can't Forget Suzette

I called her by a silly nickname and though it was affectionate, it could conjure the wrong feelings. I’m happy that she never behaved offended. She was probably to beautiful and intelligent to be concerned with these kind of frivolities. I long since recanted my nickname but I would still call her something that is not her given name but this time much more accurate and flattering

I Can’t Forget Suzette

I had a special eye on

Charming ladies but now its gone

Appealing ladies once caught my eye

No person will still say I’m that kind of guy

Today I’m happy to be a dear friend

Friends bring pleasure ‘til the very end

One such important person to me

Really amorous personality

God sent at a time when I needed most

Enjoy life’s happiness with fervent toast

Take the added time to spread His cheer

Suzette was able to give me with her special flair

Usually her days are busy but she takes the time out

Zaps away my concerns and removes my pout

Every time I hear her under whatever circumstance

There is a welcoming coziness I feel in an instance

Today for me is special even though she may not celebrate

Each Oct.8 is our prompt reminder that our God is Great
