She Called Tonight

It can get very lonely and the mind can play some serious tricks on you when you have all that time to spare. I remember once hearing that idle mind will soon gather murk and that is why God invented work. I credit the original author, these words are very accurate and I have fallen victim.

She Called Tonight

So busy

Her work made her set aside me

Evening was long

Couldn’t wait but I needed to be strong

And then

Like the queen of all women

Loyally a call

Evening wasn’t so long after all

Didn’t wait

‘Til it was very late

Or pined away

No, she was big enough to say

I missed you

Got nothing that seems as important as you do

Her voice was music in my ears

Tonight she called and dispelled all my fears
