Speak Lord, Thy Servant Heareth

Often when we are challenged by things unsure, the Lord whispers in a polite voice to help us but we must listen and obey. Sometimes it is uncertain and sometimes it can be very clear. Whenever we hear the instructions of the Lord we should consider ourselves very bless  because we have nothing when we fall from His graces

Speak Lord, Thy Servant Heareth

Samuel was just a little boy when

Placed in the temple of Godly men

Eli raised him up and on one night

A voice called to Samuel soft and polite

Kept calling and Samuel thought it was Eli

Lay down again Eli said and next time say yes Lord it is I

Once he did the Lord made His purpose known

Right from that moment the Lord had shown

Delivering His word was to start right away

Though it was difficult Samuel told Eli what the Lord did say

He grew up and always was the same

Young men trusted Samuel’s voice when to him they came

Samuel sought to choose for the people a king

Elected Saul and kept him under his wing

Results of wars showed that God was always near

Victory after victory Saul pillaged the enemy everywhere

Amalek was to be next and God instructed Saul

None of the Amalekites must live, you must kill them all

Take nothing from this land but Saul didn’t obey

He took Agag the king and the best of the livestock away

Eventually God punished Saul for the disobedience

And took away his protective spirit for this defiance

Removal of this came then Samuel died

Everything seemed lost, Saul had no one in whom to confide

Then Saul went to a median to conjure Samuel’s Ghost

He broke his own ruling but Samuel told him, he broke God’s most
