A Miracle In A Bag

There was an induced tragedy of sorts in Barbados.  A young mother, teenager, had dumped her new born baby in a knotted plastic bag on the beach. God intervened and sent a savior for this child. The miracle of life is not just about the birth, it’s about the potential that this new life is going to bring to the world

A Miracle In A Bag

Any one there? I screamed but they didn’t understand my dialect

My lungs were strong but not strong enough yet

I had started screaming earlier but to no avail

Regardless to my pleas I was thrown in the mud and shale

And left there deserted until one man came

Could see others come later, they all did the same

Looked on with astonishment because I was alive

Enraged at what my mother had contrived

I was placed in a bag which was knotted and thrown away

Never expected to be found, not so quickly, not that day

And the man came and opened the bag, I continued to scream

But still they never understood, they thought my behavior extreme

And shuttled me to the Hospital, I screamed but no one would hear

God said He has given me a gift which He wants me to share!
