Roaring Thunder

This morning I woke up and started making preparation to go to the beach when I heard the thunder roared and saw flashes of lightning. It was all happening down on the beach side but not where I lived. I was still very hopeful to have my therapeutic morning sea bath. I watch as with time crept by.

Roaring Thunder

Rain threatened the sea bath today

Overhead were dark clouds and skies grey

At the east the sun was masked and never came out

Rays didn’t smile but I didn’t pout

I had hoped and waited, I still wanted to go

Nebulas skies can’t rain on my show

Got up and checked and in the distance approaching

There were thicker and darker clouds even more threatening

Had no choice but to cancel my regular plans

Under these conditions it was not in my hands

No control had I on the darkening sky

Darkness prevailed and never bid the morning bye

Even though the thunder roared and the clouds didn’t go away

Rain never came in the morning today
