Remember Now Thy Creator In The Days...

I haven’t been fully honest with my presentation of Acrostic poetry. In some of them there is a hidden message that I have kept secret. This is generally to protect those for whom the poem was written at the time. The funny thing is that like putting down something at home in a safe place and moving the safe place too often can result in you hiding that something from yourself. Today, I want to wish this happy couple a Sacred Anniversary Cheryl Raphael and to do this I have incorporated Ecclesiastes 12: 1-8. Of the many interpretation out there, the essence of this one seems most real and appropriate

Remember Now Thy Creator In The Days..

Raise up your hand and thank Him for the days

Early as you grow in all of the ways

Many things will change as you grow old

Evil gets more rampant as Satan’s story is told

Moonlight, even sunlight or the light of the star

Brilliance gets dim as they shine from afar

Enjoy being young at heart, it never comes again

Rain falls and stops but the dark clouds remain

No strength in the body as age sets in

Or chewing is not plenty, there’re few teeth to grin

Window view offers little when you look out

The eyes get too dim to see beauty about

How the grinding is muffled to the deaf ears

You may rise early with the birds singing in these older years

Climbing up a hill will make you afraid

Roads bare greater challenges than in younger times made

Every strand of your hair is white like blossoms from the Almond tree

And you crawl like the old grasshopper, painfully

Then we all go to the eternal place

Old people pass away and the mourner gets a solemn face

Riches pass too as the silver cords are loosen

Items glossy of gold and water pitchers are broken

No more will the pulley function at the well

The righteous go the heaven and sinful go to hell

His life-giving breath is removed and you’ll be bound

Everlasting pit of fire or in heaven found

Do not then good children fail to see

All we do at this time effects our destiny

Young at heart so use today to see and believe His truth

Show all you Remember Now Thy Creator In The Days Of Thy Youth
