Took My Breath Away

Terrible pain darting through my leg

One week, two, for one month I had to beg

Only to be ignored again and again

Kept asking but nothing stopped the pain

My doctor then decided on a medication

You would have taken it too if it promise a solution

But though the pain left my leg it soon would be

Reappearing to the back of my knee

Elevating gradually through the back of my thigh

And then it disappeared and finally I

Thought it was gone, I could feel it no more

Had none of the discomfort like weeks before

And one night I felt an elephant on my chest

Weighing heavy there where he chose to rest

And by morning the pain grew unbearable for me

Yesterday the pain was a blood clot and it was pulmonary
