Until The Sun Comes Up

How often do you stay up late at night just talking with a friend and then when you go off to sleep, you rest so well, you never heard the rain. The road is wet from the down pour but you rested right through it all. A friend can be therapeutic. Good friend is worth the trouble that may come in building it. Sow the seed of friendship today and reap a more joyous life some time later. Some people can see over night sprouts of happiness.

Until The Sun Comes Up

Unusual but I spoke

No pain, we laughed, had a joke

The rain whispered last night

I never heard it, I was snuggled too tight

Like a drug, the talks pacified me

There were no thoughts of anxiety

Hush, pitter patter, you mustn’t awake

Earnest hearts that friendships make

Shush, strong winds, make quiet your leap

Use muffs and never rouse this peaceful sleep

Night went by and the morrow came

Couldn’t see the things yet, it was dark the same

Outside was still and birds didn’t sing

My silence was broken , I could hear an alarm ring

Early at 5:00am not many people appreciate

Sounds of silence and stay in bed late

Under the neighbors shed I heard a whining pup

People miss so much staying in bed Until The Sun Comes Up
