Centenarian

In casual conversation I was telling a friend about our centenarians and how they are wined and dined on their milestone birthday but no more afterwards. I see a society that take regal care of those who reach 100 years old. I know that some are so fixed in the way they have been living that you may not want to disturb that but what about those who need special attention

How many of the centenarians still have their faculties and can probably lend great insight to proper diet and lifestyles that may help future generation. Maybe we should make a government document that actually records our centenarians and their bios that are accessible by the public. I lost a great aunt that had a wealth of knowledge which she took with her. We all got bits of it but it not together for any one person to read.

Centenarians

Citizens who manage to attain the 100 milestone

Enjoy a visit from the Governor General but that alone

No more follow ups until they pass away

They live as they did before, until their final day

Every thing should be done to ensure that these

Never again have to pay for utilities

And they should become part of a special group

Registered, catered for, to preserve and not to snoop

I believe those approaching their 100th year

Are also entitled to some special care

Not that all senior citizens don’t, they do too

Seniors who reach 100 years should be our regal few
