She Was A Warrior

She was special and she made me feel special. Her size made her unapproachable. Her fearless demeanor taught me that I too could be fearless. Remember the song “When ever I feel afraid” I always have many mental, positive things to think about to render me brave.

Today, if she were alive we would have probably celebrated in our usual way with cake and ice cream. May be not, with our age catching up and illnesses, may be we would have done some differently this year.

She Was A Warrior

Slowly we walked together on the sand

He came viciously from my right hand

Even though she was an inexperienced young lady

When he sprung at us she evaded flexibly

And with a boldness she swiftly came back

Stood up to his futile attack

And braved him so remarkably

When we were together I was fearless, not me

And she managed it all without a sound

Reacted calmly and held her ground

Regardless to the trouble that waited ahead

I felt brave with her and walked boldly instead

On the sand again we walked and my heart never skipped a beat

Rabic dogs or werewolves couldn’t change the pep in my feet

In the Memory of Shexwarln

With lots of love
