My Secret Love

I am a romantic and the bleeding heart type. I have lots of loves and share love freely. What I don’t do is pretend affection. I don’t know what it is like to look into another face and pretend to like them when I really don’t. I think the eyes are the windows to a person’s soul and an embrace is an expression of true affection. In fact, I think that when you hug some one that you really don’t like, you are lying to them and cheating yourself.

My Secret Love

Many pleasures come and go like a twinkling starlight

Young love that under the circumstance didn’t seem right

Some of them lit up the corridors of my dreary past

Every such moment that came, I wished would last

Cold embraces from friends speak volumes to me

Reveal why my once close friends contact so infrequently

Even might measure the content  of their heart

This hug from an old friend speaks as we part

Last year a friend stopped by and with a warm embrace

Our friendship lit up a glow on her face

Very few ever make me feel this special way

Each time this special friend embraces me, I wish she’d stay
