We Could Feel Your Love All The Way

The story of the release of the two American Journalists took first place as it should in the median today. Laura Ling and Eula Lee returned home to greet many friends and family after the good work of many agencies but the major role played by Bill Clinton who made the trip there and satisfied Kim John Il with some photo ops for the safe return of these ladies.

I think we were all touched to tears to see them as they step down and out of their nightmare into the loving embrace of a nation and the arms of family and friends

We Could Feel Your Love All The Way

What do we risk for the story

Escape by the skin of our teeth, regularly

Collecting information which to most is obscured

Only to scoop others the news not already heard

Under much danger the journalists probe

Laura Ling and Euna Lee went to dark corners of the globe

Determined for information but stepped too far

Fractious Government put them behind a jail bar

Eremitic totalitarian state gave them 12 years

Euna Lee realized her darkest fears

Leaving Hanna her daughter this critical time at four

Years she could never replace and adventures never explore

Over 130 days in the regime of Kim John Il

Under his brutal leadership they will

Remain there under the worse of conditions

Limited showers, hard work and at the hands of troubled dieticians

On his private jet, Bill Clinton left, on our behest

Various groups including the President and Al Gore made a request

Envoy unofficially to North Korea from the great USA

A release of the journalists to be done today

Laura said when they saw President Bill Clinton, they knew

Life was getting a chance, a play over, a renew

The love of many strangers and friends across the seas

Hopes and prayers from their families

Ended an ordeal that seemed to be endless

When Clinton came the nightmare’s hold on them was worthless

Anxious now to spend some quiet and private time

Yesterday was tormenting but today is sublime
