Road March Champ

Edwin Yearwood from Krosfyan was again the Road March Champion. His new tune Middle Uh De Road won the People Monarch tune hosted by Starcom Network earlier this week and now the Road March. The tune is fast and furious, and I think the youngster love it. The not so young may be even more prepared to give it support after Edwin;s great gesture to split his winnings with Mickey 50-50. That was $10,000.00, and previously unheard of. RPB, Red Plastic Bag won the Pic-O-De-Crop Monarchy on Friday night by a substantial margin. How ever you look at it, these 3 Calypsonians are all winners.

Road March Champ

Revelers left with one thing on the mind

Out there, look good, wuk-up and wind

As bands paraded and later marched along

Dancers favored Edwin’s song

Middle Uh De Road was the top tune today

Almost unanimously it was what the DJ’s wanted to play

Revved up by Revelers who bounced to the beat

Crazy stomps and screams out in the street

How they could sing along to it, I don’t know

Cause it’s a fast and indiscernible calypso

How they liked it, I could easily understand

A different rhythm that excites and challenges the band

Mickey’s I in Dat and RPB’s Something’s Happening were 2nd and 3rd

People loved them, but Middle Uh De Road was the best they heard
