This Is What We Do Pt.2

Every year Barbados Crop Over has a set of Events that traditional defines it. These events attract thousands of locals and visitors every year. People look forward to this time of the year when the entire island seems like one big party that just continues from night to night.

Here are these events in an acrostic poem. Over the year we have been adding more events which had not yet made the official list but people are gradually coming to expect, The Peoples’ Monarch from VOB and more

This Is What We Do Pt. 2

The Crop Over starts with Cavalcades all over the island

Have you been to the Tents, Pan in the City or Pun the Sand

It’s soon time for the Pic-O-De-Crop semis

Showtime for Junior Kadooment will follow these

I used to go to Party Monarch Finals on the East Coast

Some who prefer the Pic-O-De-Crop Finals always boast

When it’s over there is The Fore day Morning Jam

Hundreds, lots more converge, the streets are rammed

After all this is Bridgetown Market in the City

Thousands of onlookers come, some bring their entire family

We can look forward to the Cohobblopot night

Every form of entertainment mixed to make this event right

Don’t think that’s all, Grand Kadooment is the ultimate for you

Our people love this street festival, This Is What We Do
