Don't Band The Pan

Standards may be delivered to us in the homes, schools and churches but when it all boils down a country’s morals are only as pure as the music that it allows on its airwaves.

When DJ’s play music and repeats it all day it penetrates the psyche of the people and sooner rather than later, the young will reflect the passions of their music.

But like all things, we recognize what we are doing wrong and we continue down the road of doom.

Don’t Band The Pan

Disc Jockeys control the airwaves

On the births of newborns and at the fresh dug graves

No one is without blame, musicians can’t succeed

There is no portal greater that the DJ breed

Broadway and Hollywood depend on their mix

A musician can produce his art but he can never fix

New shows, theatre or movie without the skill

DJ’s possess to mix and fill

They control what ever we hear and what we do not

Hardly a note, key, chord or melody passes without them choosing the lot

Every criterion is in their control and so our morals too

Put your trust in the DJ’s hands and you know what you do

A powerful medium like radio gives DJ’s perfect atmosphere

Notice how standards are set by what DJ’s think we should hear
