Confession From The Heart
I love them in very special ways and I have nothing that can erase the memories of these friends. When I close my eyes and try, I can’t conjure up faces and so I depend on photographs to remind me of how they look but looks are not all. I want to remember my friends' smiles, and frowns. I want to remember them laughing and crying. I want to remember their may quirks and their strengths.
| Confession From The Heart Christ, only you know the truth of my heart Only you can know what my thoughts will impart Now, after many years of trusting you Faith has led me to a place I never knew Every day you inspire me to write Sometimes about things I am now, contrite So often though I write of things that make me happy I write warm wishes and good testimony Once I get started you control the keys Narrate through my fingers after I’ve been on the knees For some minutes my heart speaks to my finger tips Routed to avoid mistakes and any mental slips Once finished I am then privileged to read Messages you chose through me to feed Today I pray especially for my friend Her work, how ever challenging, she’s devoted to the end Enthusiastic in motherhood and loyal to her family Her thought of others transcends herself explicitly Earnestly I ask you Lord Jesus, bless my friend Shawn And may all her worries be long gone Remind her of my love in a very special way Today my heart wishes her a Happy Birthday! |
