Man In The Mirror Pt. 2

In order for us to make a difference we must first look inwardly (look at the Man In The Mirror) and start by changing our attitude to the things that lay right in plain sight. Our first Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Errol Walton Barrow had similar advice for us. He wanted us to change who we might become, Michael wanted for greater thing and hope we can change the world.

Man In The Mirror Pt. 2

Many years ago there was a boy with no childhood

And he studied and preached only things that were good

Not many understood him although His message was clear

In His Father we must trust and in Him, have fear

Now eons afterwards, one, though not a messiah, charted a way

The Afro and “Jherri curls” he popularized and his message would say

Have a look in the mirror, make a change, there

Everyone who suffers, need us to first be aware

Most of us pass by people laying in the street

Ignore the fact that they have nothing to eat

Refuse to visit the strangers dying on hospital wards

Run to stand in lines for hours to hear musicians play their chords

One man can make a difference, as he showed frequently

Repeating it through his music and his endless charity
