Radio Hosts

I said it before; in fact I wrote about it in another poem, children pay so much attention to radio personalities that these radio hosts are now entrusted with the care of our kids. They are the quasi parents who manage to get into our homes daily.

These are individuals who we leave unguarded with our kids

 

Radio Hosts

Responsibility of fatherhood entrusted to you at VOB

And it has nothing to do with biologically

Daily our kids tune in and they follow your lead

I watch as they rather listen than take a book and read

Our society grows from the direction you take

Homes everywhere know the impact you make

On you we trust the exposure our kids will get

Should be moral, tasteful, educational and the best yet

They will be guided by great Bajans in a quasi paternal way

So Radio Hosts we wish you’ll have a Happy Father’s Day
