Old Miserable Dads

Beneath the crust of the miserable old dads lie love and happiness. These men once raised their kids and give them all the love they could.

Unfortunately they were left alone when their kids move out then you meet these crusty old met and never realize their soft centers

Old Miserable Dads

Once upon a time they cared for us all

Looked out for mishaps and cushioned each fall

Didn’t asked for thanks just gave freely

Made our days better and our lives happy

In time we grew up and moved away

Sent no gratitude, no gratefulness to convey

Engaged in our lives, often no notice or note

Refused to communicate, never called never wrote

And you wonder why it is that he

Behaves as he does, miserable and grumpy

Laughing at nothing just fretting on a whim

Evenings in his armchair alone, rocking, just him

Don’t neglect this old dad he never neglected you

And because he’s crusty don’t forget he showed love too

Disturbed and lonely his pain came when you grew away

Show the Old Miserable Dads you wish them a Happy Father’s Day
