Kids

The word Kids was a recent play of mind. During Father’s Day when I was sending out my mail to friends, I started getting these short messages of Kids which I quickly jotted down. I’ll deliberately keep them in one location her even though they are separate poems with distinct meanings.

Kids

Kind words, softly spoken, pave the way

Invite positive thoughts and your children to pray

Do this and with earnest and from your heart

Show your kids the best example fight from the start

Kids

Kahil Gibran said our children are on loan

I understand this great writer but I’ve known

Devotion and dedication mixed with loyalty and love

Secures a permanency granted from our Father above

Kids

Keep your focus on the children and you’ll see

In time there is nothing greater than family

Do your best for them and one day you’ll find

Such a delightful fulfillment, it’s unlike any other kind

Kids

Kisses I’ll send for the niece

I’ll wish her God’s love and His peace

Don’t have many regrets but I wish I could do more

She in hindsight deserves more than ever before
