The Role Of Men In Society

It’s not about opening doors, pulling out chairs, standing as a lady enters the room, removing your hat, entering a dark room first, descending a staircase a few steps in front or acceding a few steps behind. It’s not about holding the head offices at work and church or about exclusive clubs. It’s not about making the most salary, being the bread winner, looking after the kids, pitching in with the chores at home. It’s not about treating women as equals. Rather, it’s about harnessing and using the best qualities that lead to the best development of men and women in society. We must remember SOCIETY as Socialization, Organization, Character, Integrity, Endurance, Truth and You

The Role of Men In Society

This teen was frail but was expected to be

Having a role later in our changing society

Earnestly he prayed and one day God said

Repeat this task daily on that rock in your garden bed

On each day push with your might on this boulder

Let this be your task until you are 7 years older

Every day he pushed with all of his might

Over and over from burning suns into the night

For 7 years he didn’t move it and on his 25th year

My goodness I’m hopeless, the boulder is going no where!

Eventually he called out saying Lord I’ve failed your test

None of my pushing can move this boulder and I must rest

In a ray of blinding light he heard the Lord’s voice

No my son you can kneel now and rejoice

Strong calves and thighs and your muscular shoulders

Obedience as you push but I never ask men to move their boulders

Consistency, perseverance, devotion and loyalty

I saw you developed these with stamina and endurance daily

Every man has immovable boulders and in different forms too

The effort and diligence with which you push will define you

You may take these and fulfill Men’s Role In Today’s Changing Society
