This Is The Final Call

There was a final call for Air France flight 447 which for 228 passengers and crew turned out to be their final call. The uncertainty of their demise still looms between nations as reports indicate of previous bomb threats that were ignored. Airline specialists indicate that there would have hand to e needle point precision to coordinate bombing with the thunderstorm.

This is The Final Call

The announcement was muffled and in Portuguese

Hadn’t studied the language so I begged a traveler please

I am unsure what they are saying, would you interpret for me

She turned and smiled and said your flight is not ready

The wait seemed long so we started to chat

Her accent was unusual but she knew that

Every Bajan she met always seemed the same

French people were aloft an conversation easy to tame

I learnt lots about her, her friends and family

Noticed her longing to depart, to reunite with everybody

And the announcement came, this time it was her chance

Last opportunity to exchange information, she was off to France

Closely she embraced me and said listen for when

Announcer says….ahh, I can’t remember, something foreign

Listen she said, just this piece, you don’t need to know all

Last night my new friend left Brazil, “This Is The Final Call!
