Air France Crashes

There seems to be greater certainty now that Air France flight 447 was indeed crash with the hope of survivors. Does every one realize the enormity of this to the many family and friends? Let’s postulate for a moment, every passenger has an immediate and extended family, say 30 people. They all have friends and working colleagues, about 100. Each of their family members have at least 2 close friends (60) and so too the passenger friend and colleagues have a minimum of 2 close friends 200. If you added them all 30+60+100+200=390 minimum are in the circle. If we did the same for 228 passengers we get 88,920 people. That’s immediate circle at the least. I will morn with each of them for their lost.

Air France Crashes

A strange darkness overcame me

It was a cloud of gloom, it was eerie

Ringing disturbance in my ears

Freezing cold, overwhelmed with fears

Radio confirmed my unusual panic

A thunder storm and Air France 447 had taken a big hit

No one knew where they were or if they would survive

Cousins, aunts and uncles, we didn’t know who’d be alive

Every TV station soon took up the report

Counseling was started for those waiting at the airport

Returning were my family for my niece’s wedding

And her groom who’d made the trip to buy her ring

She was traumatized but many others too

Horror flood the airport, loveones not knowing what to do

Eventually they saw debris, sure signs the plane went down

Signs my niece knew now she wouldn’t be wearing her wedding gown
