Persnickety

This morning’s word was Persnickety. I say this morning because I usually what Bill O’Reilly on the re-run. I never intended to be writing acrostics on Bill’s words but I have little control on what gets into my head. I just let the words flow from what I am hearing. You might notice in one of my poem I typed week instead of weak and thought instead of taught. Sometimes the figures rush to what they think they heard, or was it herd?

Persnickety

Particularly hard to please

Eyes so fixed on specifics you give no one ease

Requiring keen eyes for detail

Snobbish and fussy, they will also fail

None of these will get the approval of Bill

In a night he might read 300 letters and will

Count out those bordering on being persnickety

Keep those catchy and written with brevity

Eliminating those ones, that never cut the grade

Then reading from the selected few the writers tirade

Your opinion is valued so articulate it that he might read
