May Fay's Day Be Okay

Time passes by so swiftly. I can’t believe it has been another year and what makes it more unbelievable is that my friend stays unchanged despite the problems that she is faced with.

Some people show the aging through their stress lines, skin discoloration and in many other ways. She shows none of the traditional tell tales and I expect, if God permits that I am here next year that nothing with her will change. I’m sure she has it in her genes; her jeans are too small to hold much!

May Fay’s Day Be Okay

My friend is 31 years old today

And I wish I could give her a beautiful bouquet

Yes a collection of radiance and beauty

Flowers well scented to thrill this fair lady

Anything I buy for her would never be right

You could never find the treasure that might

Send a clear enough message to complement what I see

Deliver a compliment to this natural beauty

And so I try to write but to little avail

You can’t find the words so all efforts fail

Because few things can transfer my feelings

Embraces and smiles come closer than most things

Oratory greats like Shakespeare once tried

Kisses can’t be capture even from this romantic guide

And so by default I wish today

You have a Happy 31st Birthday!
