This Special Mom

What of the lady who raised dozens of kids? She played a special role that is not possible for birth mothers, although there were exceptions

I know of at least one such mother who for a while raised my mom. She was a teenager at the time but was faithful to the Lord and He was faithful to her.

This Special Mom

Through the years she helped tirelessly

Her devotions were faith for everybody

In time they all grew up and will say the same

She guided them to the light and away from shame

So special to have been the young kids guiding star

Pointing them back home if they strayed too far

Even when they slipped from honour she would lend a hand

Comfort them with the Word that they’d understand

I know this role, it’s not unfamiliar

A long time ago it was outlined to each mother

Lets train a child in the way he should go

Mothers everywhere were taught to teach their children so

Only This Special Mom was never a birth mother to any

My Lord had given her special gifts that she would train many
