Oh Mister Moon

I used to sing a song to cheer myself up years ago. And sometime I would sing it in company. Not many people ever enjoyed it like one person in particular who seemed bubbly ever time she heard it. After a while I started singing the song to remind me of her smile.

I can hear her now in my mind even when I just say the title to this song.

Oh Mister Moon

On a dark cold night she brought warmness

Her loving embrace and a comforting kiss

Made a child, a dear and beautiful girl

I love her more than any precious pearl

Some years now past and the girl has grown

There is sparkle in her eyes and I wish she’d known

Every time I wanted that she was around

Running or playing here with toys on the ground

Mother has taken charge and has done great work

Organizing her schooling and her chores she didn’t shirk

One times when I regret that they’re so far away

Nothing’s beats knowing she’s safe, so honey have a

                                        Happy Mother’s Day!
