Daughter Of Darkness

Love that once was, is now gone to a cheating heart who hides behind a cloak of darkness. Although the light is dim I can still see the falseness in her smile.

There is no sense in going on in a loveless relationship for the sake of convenience.

Daughter of Darkness

Dim light at night

And with my piercing sight

Uncertainty got the better of me

Growing doubts of her loyalty

Her manner had become

Taunting like some

Evil penetrated her soul

Released its venom now her heart was cold

Once before her smile radiated

Followed were chuckles and if I waited

Delight sprung from her entire body

And I knew that she wanted me

Reach into her very core

Kiss her cheeks then kiss more

Now a darkness overcomes us

Ends the smiles and creates a fuss

Sends ripples of pain where love once might

She’s a Daughter Of Darkness who refuses my light
