Another Year Young

My friend has been changing like the weather over the last few years. She is the only one of my friends that I communicate with regularly, enough to witness the changes as they are occurring.

I look forward to that day when she feel settled and can enjoy her life the way she deserves.

Another Year Young

An evening working out in the gym

Night time spent with just you, Gail and Kim

One more year has swiftly gone by

There’s great expectations for you and the guy

His work is soon done and you’ll move back

Evenings need no longer have grand dad’s attack

Ready and anticipating and maybe even eager

You could scarcely wait and he could neither

Every day has been long yet a year has gone

And now when they ask, you’ll say, I’m 31

Red, cherry skin gal with a figure that wouldn’t stop

Young in the face and causing craving hearts to pop

One this special day you might wear a favorite dress

Unleash some more beauty on the weak and defenseless

Now when you do take pity and be sure of your intent

Gal this 31st Birthday has made you more potent
