A Happy Mother's Day

I salute those people who managed to raise their kids to maturity. Raising children can be even more technical than tomatoes and I have problems safe guarding my tomatoes from the elements and vermin to bright red. I therefore salute the ladies who watch kids grow up to adults.

A Happy Mother’s Day

All you ladies who worked tirelessly

Having to raise each child from a baby

And watched them grow before your eyes

Put them on the path of truth and turned them from lies

Parenting though you were tempted to be a friend

You gave assurance on which they could always depend

Made home a place of refuge from the dangerous outside

Or a comfort for rest and in you confide

Trusted their word though you knew the pressure of peers

Had interest in their school work and was filled with cheers

Encouraged them in their extracurricular activities

Recorded their performances for home movies

Showed them the importance of honor

Devotion to Religion and the coming of the Savior

All you ladies who have chosen the Lord's word to obey

You must celebrate and have A Happy Mother’s Day!
