You Went During Lent

Yes Father, I was right

Our people have seen the light

Useless practices they now deny

Worship You faithfully by and by

Every house knows the things they must eat

Not their fatty foods full of red meat

They no longer swear or revel in play

Dance through the night till the light of day

Under each roof at the turn of night

Resident cease their chatter and lock down tight

I am please to have visited them and give this report

No one shun your law or from it chose to abort

Great is their faithfulness, their loyalty and love

Lord all looks better when not looking from here above

Everyone speaks of your son’s coming and how he died

Never fail to remind other that He was crucified  

This must pleas You Father, they all learnt to repent

  No my child! Go back again, You Went During Lent!
