Not By Sight

I had a verse this week that came at the strangest time. I never linked the two things and no one else did either. Yet, the more I think about it the more I realize that something else guides me when I sleepwalk since it is not my sight. The prayers before I go to bed for protection means more than protection from an intruder while I sleep or from fire or natural disaster. Often we think of these things but never do we think of sleepwalking.

2 Corinthians 5
7For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Not By Sight

Night time sleepwalking can find me

Out of the house, dressed for a party

Taking a stroll on the sea shore

Benign in my steps, sometimes fast or more

Years ago I walked regularly

Strange places found me unconsciously

I walk with my eyes wide open but still I’m blind

Got no idea what I see and what’s on my mind

Have no idea when I’ll go, or where I’ll go tonight

Thank God, I walk by faith, not by sight
