Bear False Witness
The Ninth Commandment reads:
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (Exodus 20:16)
I have argued the importance of reporting crime and it is my feeling that if there was greater responsibility placed on individuals to speak up then they would be greater chance of reducing crime

Bear False
Witness Bible
commandment number nine Entails
more than the lies of mankind And often
we deliberately Refuse to include
this controversy Falsely
reporting is bad we know And laws
are implemented to make this so Laws to
ensure in courts we never lie Suffer
punishment if under oath we try Except what
about those who clearly saw Witnessing
their neighbor committing a flaw Is it not
wrong to pretend not to see To never
report infraction to the authority Never come
forward even if behind a cloak Email or
anonymous call reporting unlawful folk Snitching
sounds cheeky and deceitful but as I construe Seeing a
crime and not reporting it breaches Commandment 9 too |
