The Day For Fools

I like most played pranks on All Fools Day. In fact, I was a prankster on many other days as well. Today, I thought of the pranks I would play and then I pondered which one and on who. I thought the prank that might be most convincing might be to do with my health. I thought I might tell a friend that I had taken for the worst. May God forgive this lack of consideration, even though I never acted on it, it was in my mind. I pray never to want to prank someone about my health, especially after the concern my family and friend had shown since I was diagnosed.

The Day For Fools

Tell me “Is your pipe running? Then run behind it!”

He played this prank arbitrarily with precarious wit

Every call he made back then frustrated the few

Didn’t have caller id so people didn’t know what to do

And now technology prevents it, he plays a new game

You can expect packages with no label from who they came

Frustrating to open because layer after layer

Only expose further deception from a mischievous player

Ruse to mark the success in a deceitful way

Friends fool each other and may fool strangers today

On this day we should be more careful how we fool

Our pranks can cause great harm and be very cruel

Lying of any kind and at any time belittles trust

Show respect for friends and strangers and stop this disgust
