Still In My Nightmare?

If only we could wake from our nightmares as soon as we desire. The problem though is that most of the time we don’t know we are in a nightmare.

Have you ever wondered how you often get up out of these nightmares when they are getting unbearable?

Still In My Nightmare?

Sleep brought cold sweats and enormous fear

That night I tossed and wished I was elsewhere

I got up still startled hoping never again

Lay there in that bed in such emotional pain

Light was about and all was bright

I was not in the room I fell asleep in last night

No where could I even find my bed

My room was roasting hot and everything seemed red

You could never believe the misery

Never imagine the torment and agony

I could feel my skin boil and my insides burst

Got overwhelmed with an unquenchable thirst

How ever I tried I couldn’t stop this burning ache

This must mean I was still in my nightmare, that I didn’t awake

Morning will soon come if only I could bear

Another few moments of this wretched despair

Rise from this constant death, this burning Hell

Eternity has locked me away where I can never wake to tell
