Welcome To The Market Vendor

Market Vendor is a radio personality who may also be describe in some circles as a social commentator. I am usually impressed that using the comical verbiage and playing on Bajan slang, the Market Vendor is able to address some very serious topics that really need a voice.

From what I remember, the Market Vendor had a great listenership than any other radio personality.  I am happy to know the thoughtful person behind the name and was the recipient of many kind gestures the Market Vendor directed my way.

Welcome To The Market Vendor

When I opened the newspaper I was happier today

Editors persuaded the Market Vendor to have a say

Lots of others too will agree

Cause Market Vendor has always been upfront wid we

On those topics when others would hold their tongue

Market Vendor was candid and all the bells were rung

Even when politicians think they could escape

The Market Vendor jumped over all their daunting red tape

Over in the Market place things would get hot

The shoppers agreeing with Market Vendor but some may not

Having arguments about the morning show

Eager to share all the juicy details they know

Make your way to the offices and you’ll see

All the folks debating on the same litany

Racial slurs castigated, who ever the source

Kind words to the deserving, like our own police force

Every day, twice a day except on weekends

The Market Vendor got Bajans huddled like friends

Verbiage comical but Market Vendor addresses serious topics

Equipped to handle the local as well as America’s politics

Never failing to play on events hitting the news

Dastardly wife lands cuffs, de key gone, hubby had no clues

Oblivious we are to Market Vendor’s sex, location and ID

Regardless we’ll enjoy, Market Vendor gives voice to allah we.
