Rita Lawrence

My long time friend with whom I shared many great conversations and who mothered an even closer friend passed away. I just learnt this from someone we both knew. I regret that I am unable to get out to the people who once shared an important time in my life and when I see that they can all slip away, even at a time when you think that you may precede them, I feel as if I have cheated them somewhat.

Rita Lawrence

Rest now Dear friend your body was weak

Its time to meet the Father as He promised the meek

This time on earth you served Him well

And from your fruit dear friend we all can tell

Lord give her the treasures of Eternity

A life with no more pain or sorrow but of gaiety

With a new body unlike her old battered one

Rain as absent as a burning sun

Embrace my friend Dear Lord that she may rejoice

Never veering from your love and making the right choice

Choosing you Father made Rita always strong

Exalting your goodness and knowing right from wrong
