Forty And Loving It

If you look at her she doesn’t seem like she is forty, but today she is. She is raising two beautiful kids who are today treating to a great morning.

I called to wish her a Happy Birthday, but it wasn’t necessary. She had already started enjoying her day. This means God had answered yet another prayer!

Forty And Loving It

Fooled by her voice I asked may I speak

Only to be caught with tongue in cheek

Relaxed in bed, she was nursing a cold

The new day meant she was now forty years old

Yet she was as alive as a 30 years old girl

And with breakfast in bed she felt like a precious pearl

Nothing to do except later prepare

Dinner promised to be exquisite on expensive dinnerware

Lunch was at Almond Beach with personal entourage

One hour in the spa then a facial and massage

Voice may have masked her but only temporary

I could hear my friend in all of her glee

No apparent problems just happy to celebrate

Gifts from her children, family and friends of late

I bought her nothing but you know Lord I pray

That she becomes independent and enjoys every Birthday.
