The Wood's Family

A friend’s dad has passed away and I wish to send my deepest condolences to him and his other siblings who I had met. This family always had a quiet demeanor yet their quietness should never be mistaken for shyness. They always shone when the time was right and never for the sake of just being heard and seen. I think that we are all the summation of our experiences and even when we don’t realize it we are the product of our upbringing. If this is so then much praise must go to Mr. Wood who has left behind precious fruit.

The Wood’s Family

Though I never met him, I could see

His character through his family

Every sibling I met showed a greatness

Was humble and meek though full of success

Oh God you said by their fruit I’ll know

One meeting with the Woods and they will show

Discipline and respect and even more than these

Sincere honesty and loyalty with unmatched ease

Father I didn’t know him but I saw

All the ways he taught his children to obey your law

Made his family special by all that he had done

I know this Lord cause I met each son

Lord I pray that by his life he found your grace

Your gift of Eternity and is now in your Divine embrace
