Push Up On Me

Many of the victims of Domestic Violence crack and may one night seek vengeance by taking the life of their tormentor. Good people are changed into killers and their children are raised up in a culture of inflicting and tolerating pain.

Push Up On Me

Pain inflicted mercilessly

Unrelenting, brutalizing agony

Self respect lost if they remain

Housed with the criminally insane

Unsure of their future and where to go

People tolerate every repeated blow

One day it explodes and fate turns

Now victim is villain and their tormenter burns

Many years of agony to leave new scars

Each year ahead to be spent behind prison bars
