Paradise Lost

I thought our country was a little Paradise. What has happened? Apart from all the economical problems we still see traces of racism going on. And worse is the lasting memories our people have as well as their vision of what should be now. The color of ones skin is still too important for our people and we are treated differently because of this skin color.

Paradise Lost

Plebeians, I call them, the ruthless Blacks

Ascribing their separation to indiscriminate facts

Racially charged comments based on times gone

And restitution is unacceptable though fairly drawn

Dwelling in the past and ignoring the now

Is dangerous to Blacks and Whites all how

So close the book on our ugly history

Erase the apartheid behavior that tarnished our memory

Lets endeavor forever to never repeat

Original ills that would cause us further defeat

So forget van colors, tennis courts and the rest

The life we live today will judge our characters best
