The Switch To Ditch

There must have been many decisions that day

He must have contemplated turning away

Emergency landing comes with much uncertainty

Should you turn left or right,  pull up or just accept your destiny

When faced with adversity Captain Sully knew

It was God’s will for him and he must trust his crew

Then with precision he took Flight 1549 to the Hudson

Calm his nerves and ditched it with perfection

His crew held together and the passengers too

There while floating on the Hudson River, they knew

Only a miracle could have saved them all

Destiny had a purpose for them and this wasn’t God’s call

In a new awareness, life’s beauty was revealed

The morning sun’s warmth, the breeze across the field

Coming face to face with adversity they made a new switch  

Having fellowship with God because Sully chose to ditch
