Happy New Year - all

After I wrote my friend I realized that the phrase Happy New Year like Our Lord Jesus also had 12 letters. This number 12 was starting to seem even more important. When I think of the things I wanted to pray for my family and friend this New Year, I came up with these during an early morning soliloquy.

Happy New Year

Here are 12 letters, 12 lines and 12 things in A Prayer For You

A prayer that all Your Earnest Prayers Come True

Peace And Goodwill to you and your fellow man

Prayers for Good Health and to be the best that you can

Your family and friend’s True Undying Love

Nurturing for Spiritual Growth from our Father above

Every Day Contentment and that you find early

Wisdom to help guide in times of uncertainty

Your mind, body and soul, I’ll pray for His Healing Touch

Every Blessing Bestowed you and none be too much

At this turn of the year I pray for you Great Prosperity

Ring in 2009 with my prayer for God’s Promise Of Life Eternity

When I started writing my poetry years ago I had never heard of the Acrostic style and was thinking myself innovative. I didn’t keep copies of those works and regretted it. I got diagnosed and have been Living with MS since 2005. While in the hospital I penned two poems, one for the nurses and the other for the doctor. The nurses posted a copy on their bulletin board that remained there for about a year. Again I never kept copies.

As soon as I was able to see well enough and to pick my way on a keyboard, I started writing and posting. My website, which you so graciously compliment, is the result of the inspirations over the last year.

I am deeply moved by your compliments especially having recently found your works. It was your works that took some wind from my sails, I was no longer an original but yet you gave me some encouragement. I thank you for then and for now.

Thank you too for your kind wishes and I look forward to continued work. I pray that you too will continue to move others with your beautiful Poetry For All Seasons
