Dame Auntie Olga Lopes-Seale

In a lifetime we are blessed by at least one such humanitarian as Dame Auntie Olga Lopes Seale who give all of her self to help others even when time were hard and the roads were long. I remember trying to find my way to her home once to deliver a package. I already knew of her humility but the enormity of it is only fully realized in person. I am fortunate to have these few moments in the forefront of my memory. I wish Dame Auntie Olga a very happy 90th Birthday and may God continue to Bless her as she continues to spread His glory.

Another Bajan Acrostic

Dame Auntie Olga Lopes-Seale

Dear Christine I’m writing to tell you

Auntie Olga loved everyone she knew

Many years ago as a Guyanese Blonde Bombshell

Exploded melodiously and now lives to tell

Auditioned for Reiting and Richter and got a contract

Used her talent charitably later with even greater impact

Now Christine, don’t get me wrong, I love her too

Though they were many others, never once was I blue

I always felt she made me feel ten feet tall

Even though the others were too many to recall

Olga said John Fernandez inspired her to be

Loving and generous with courage and charity

Giving to those who gave nothing in return

A life worth more than any money she may earn

Learning that lesson from very early

Opened her way to serving with humility

People who met her were never the same

Everyone felt her obvious claims to fame

She had a heart as embracing as the sky

Shared her love with every needy passerby

Empathetic to the core and prepared to do

Anything to help others live an upright life too

Lots of well wishers and congratulation are going her way

Everyone as sincere as this wish on her 90th Birthday
